History of Bud Bartley & Associates

The adventure began growing up with nine siblings on a dairy farm in Northeastern Oklahoma. While attending college in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bud was drafted into the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Upon returning to civilian life, Bud worked as a draftsman and then began his own home building company in 1974. He designed his own plans, supervised construction, and his wife Mary decorated them, starting Today's Trends Interiors which still operates out of Bud's main office. Seventeen hundred homes later, Bud is still going strong. Bud Bartley & Associates builds about 20 speculation and custom homes every year, supporting a staff of eight full time employees including an interior designer and draftsman.

The year of 1983 offered a new opportunity in Dallas, Texas to begin building in the rapidly growing Flower Mound / Lewisville area. Until he sold the company in May of 2000, he was completing 35-40 homes a year.

In 1990, Bud added another feather to his cap and began developing residential neighborhoods in Oklahoma City. Developing in Texas was soon to follow with new subdivision projects beginning 1994. Bud continues to develop in the Flower Mound, Texas area as well as Oklahoma City and Edmond.

To this day, Bud is still very much involved in every aspect of his business, overseeing plan design, construction, and the use of new technology and materials. Over the years Bud has built a reputation for building beautiful, high quality, and fairly priced homes in Oklahoma City and Edmond. This reputation continues to grow, and like Bud's attitude of perseverance, shows no signs of slowing.

Bud is a long time member of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association (COHBA), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
